I'd like you to turn to James Chapter 3. We've been in a series entitled The Wealth of a Word

and we're talking about how important words are that we speak and that we say.

And I want to give you just a brief reminder of the three messages that I preach so far.

First of all, we talked about what's a word worth.

We talked about that our words are very valuable because they connect us to God and they connect

us to each other.

When God wanted to reach out to us, he sent his word, Jesus.

And when we reach out to God, we believe in our heart and we confess with our mouth.

So our words connect us to God and they connect us to each other.

Then I talked about, can I speak freely?

Do our words cost even when I'm joking or when I'm jesting, could I still hurt someone?

Could I still say the wrong thing?

And we found out, yes, our words are not free.

They're valuable all the time. then I did the tongue's top

ten list or the ten deadliest sins of the tongue that was a very well received

message everyone was very excited excited and counted off.

Several came up and told me, I got nine out of the end, you know, so.

Today I'm going to be talking about a little something different, but we're going to go through James 3.

James 3, versus 1 through 12, we'll go through all 12, is the longest discourse on the tongue in the Bible that I found.

And I'm going to tell you today, the message is amazing facts about the tongue.

Because James tells us some things about the tongue that are amazing.
