Sheila Jackson leaves up for re-election voting starts in the Democrat primary and Republican primary in 12 days

Amanda Edwards is running a lot of good people.

Amanda would be a hundred times better.

She's just served on city council.

She's cute.

She's smart.

I don't think we would agree on a hundred issues and she goes to Congress as a Democrat.

She probably vote differently than I would on a number of issues.

But she's not a stark raving mad lunatic.

She's not a mean vindictive bitch. She's not going to bully people. She's not going to drive a guy to commit suicide. She's not going to call a staff or a fat-ass stupid idiot and cuss people, cuss people in her

office and be named the meanest member of Congress. She's not going to do that. And that's an improvement. We're at the

point, the bar solo, that's an improvement. By all accounts? Now she'll get in there and they'll be, you know,

she'll have influences that she'll feel like she needs to, you know, please.

I don't know her.

I've seen her across the room.

But we're not friends.

But I know a lot of people who do know her from her time at City Hall and they speak glowingly

and these are not people who are easily impressed or taken in and I know people who support her.

She's got people supporting her that haven't been involved in politics before.

She got people that support her that have been around Democrat politics in the 18th Congressional District for 30 years,

or 40 or 50, going back to Mickey Leeland. And for that matter, going back to Mickey Leeland and for that matter going back to Barbara Jordan.
