The Michael Vary Show is on the air. Some of you may have noticed that I posted a few days ago on Facebook looking for someone to help me connect with Dennis Quaid. He has a new movie

coming out called Reagan. It was filmed in Texas and I asked if you can connect me with Dennis Quaid.

I've met him before but I don't have a personal connection.

But I know in our audience we will have people who have a

personal connection, but I know in our audience we will have people who do and we did.

I got quite a few emails from people saying,

yeah, I'll come because my proposal was that I think it I think it goes live August 30th or September 1st.

It's at the very end of August or the very beginning of September,

the movie will be released.

It will premiere. It's a biopic of Ronald Reagan obviously. And Reagan

has strong Texas following, strong Texas values, ranch background, conservatism, it's going to be a hit, particularly

in Texas.

And so I asked for a connection and I ended up getting it with

I who is kind of really pushing the effort to bring movies to Texas.

And this has been a passion of mine for a long time.

When I was on Houston City Council,

it was a fellow named Rick Ferguson.

He was head of the Houston Film Commission.

And what amazed me was, neither Lee P. Brown or any city council, nobody seemed to care.
