We had him for just a moment.

He was there in the White House Correspondence Dinner Ballroom and all of this went down.

How long before you had a sense of the fact that it was a lone gunman and what had happened?

Did you all have any idea of that at that moment or did you get

back and see it on TV? When did you learn that? Cell phone reception was spotty. You know,

it's underground in a ballroom, but I was able to see that there were reports. I mean, I think

initially there were reports that there had been a gunman shot and killed. I saw that, which obviously did not end up being accurate.

And then I was told that there had been two people that they stopped.

One was dead and the other was alive.

That was obviously inaccurate too.

So until really we got back to the hotel and could see President Trump's speech and really get a good

cell phone reception. It wasn't until, you know, after 10 p.m. Eastern that, that I really

had a full conception of what had taken place.

Anything that hasn't been reported on that you noted or experienced or think people should

realize?

Yeah, I mean, I do think that the security aspect was not ideal.

And I was talking about that.

We ended up having to walk back to our hotel because obviously it was hard to get any vehicles

anywhere near the uh the the the hilton afterwards um but when we went in um security is more
