The Michael Vary Show is on the air. So I'm not. Talk about how tough it is to be a mother. Sandy writes,

Mom went above and beyond. A little brother gave my parents so much worry since he was 12, drugs, shoplifting,

you name it. When he was 17 he decided to give my mom a Christmas present of a statue of the Virgin Mary, which he quote unquote

shopped by stealing it from someone's yard. He got caught so on Christmas Eve my mom my poor mom got to

to visit her sweet baby boy in the county jail where he had on the proverbial orange

jump suit.

If he was my son I would have let him sit there by himself. To her

credit she did not bail him out but she did visit him. I don't believe she ever thanked him for his thoughtful gift.

Man, imagine a mother having to visit their child and see him in that orange jump suit oh how would that break your heart?

Yes, sir, Michael. So my mom, I went to a high school down in the free court and was in their National Honor Society,

top 10% all that kind of good garbage.

When I came to my senior year, I was in one of their honors English classes,

and I didn't want to write that stupid research paper.

I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

So finally it was the day when I had to turn it in,

I hadn't written a word.

I hadn't even looked at it. So I decided there's no sense

in going to English class if you can't turn in your paper what the heck right so I went to the library
