Two Houston area playing for the state baseball championship Memorial High School and Tomball High School with Tomball coming out on top.

Their coach, Doug Rush, is our guest.

Apparently, as I was going to break, I said Memorial High School coach, Doug Rush, instead of Tomball High School.

I know the difference.

Sometimes I've got three screens up, and I was actually looking at the roster of Memorial kids as I did that because I was formulating my next question.

And I realized we were out of time.

I know some of the kids on that team because my kids grew up with them.

Did Spirandio pitch in your game?

Yes, he did. He did. He did. A really good pitcher.

It's a really good little athlete. I watched that kid grow up. He's a good little athlete.

Yeah, I think he had like a.54 ERA going in. And we did him pretty good. They made a couple errors.

But we had a really good game plan to prepare for him.

And we executed the game plan.

So I was really proud of our kids.

But he, you know, he throws ball 94, 95 miles an hour.

Wow.

Got a couple good breaking pitches.
