We are talking to Linn Merrill.

She and her husband, Kevin, had a 15-year-old daughter.

They are plugging along like any other family. And then they decide that they're going

to adopt a child who, through no fault of their own, doesn't have parents

or has parents who have been incarcerated, have parents who died, parents who've abandoned them, have parents who've have who've abandoned them have parents who've abused them.

There are any number of reasons that an innocent child ends up in foster care.

And you might say, well, that's not for me to do. But if everyone says that's not for me to do,

and what happens to those children? And what if that had been you?

It's a big, big burden.

It's not an easy thing to do.

I truly believe there are certain people,

to use the term many of my friends, it's a God thing.

I think there are people who have a spirit inside them.

That they hear a calling and they refuse to refuse. They allow themselves to be vessels of God, I believe this, angels on earth, and they say it would be easier if I say no, but I'm not going to take the easy path.

And nothing worth doing is easy.

And I'll tell you if you want to know how wonderful fostering kids is.

And I've not done it, but if you want to know how wonderful it is,

I'll tell you this, I've never known of anyone to foster one child.
