A Somali man accused of orchestrating an $11 million dollar Medicaid fraud in Mogadishu, Minnesota, failed to appear in court last week.

He has now fled the country.

He has a previous conviction for Medicare fraud, and despite this, a Minnesota

judge led him out on bond with no restrictions, meaning he was allowed to keep his passport. I mean,

why would you restrict a man's movement who has every reason to flee the country and calls another country home when he's not defrauding this country.

That move by the judge was over the objection of investigators who warned he was a flight risk because his family had already fled to Kenya.
