Debuting in the 1980s, the Jello Pudding Pop was essentially a delightful twist on the traditional

popsicle, offering a richer, creamier version akin to Puten on a stick.

Tout it as all the goodness of real jello Puten, frozen on a stick, it quickly won over

many fans, amassing $100 million in sales in its first year alone.

Now, I don't like to brag because no one likes a braggard.

But my mom, she did contribute tens of dollars to that 100 million when I was growing up,

and we weren't the only ones either.

All my friends ate them putting pops too. Now if and they were so popular why did they go out of business?

You see the disappearance of these beloved treats is a tale of logistical challenges

rather than waning popularity.

The primary hurdle was production.

Jello was not originally set up to handle frozen foods, making the continuous production

and storage of these treats, too expensive.

In 2004, Jello licensed the brand named to Popsicle.

Unfortunately, Popsicle's version strayed from the original in both shape and flavor, lacking the unique charm that had made the

Put-and-pop so Put-P Poodle popular. By 2010, with demand dwindling, pop-sicle discontinuum, marking the end of yellow put and pops in retail outlets.
