Pan American World Airways, commonly known as Pan Am, was founded on March 14th, 1927 by Wann Tripp and a group of investors.

It began as a small mail carrier between Key West Florida and Havana, Cuba.

The airline quickly expanded throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, establishing itself as a pioneering

force and international air travel.

Pan Am entered its golden age in the 1950s and 60s, becoming synonymous with luxury and innovation

and air travel.

The airline was the first to offer regular commercial jet service with the Boeing 707 in 1958, drastically

During this period, Pan Am's iconic blue globe logo and white-clad flight attendance became

cultural symbols.

The airline expanded its routes across the globe, connecting major cities in every continent except Antarctica.

Because to the best of my knowledge, there are no major cities there or maybe airlines,

I don't know if there's an airport in Antarctica or not.

I don't know if they get there by boat or they fly. I really don't know.

But three major turning points led to Panam's demise.

The company invested half a billion dollars on 747s right before an oil embargo raised the price of oil 400%.

It also purchased national airlines in order to fly domestically, resulting in a loss of $18.9 million.
