Well it was a good weekend for Aggieland.

George Strait, Parker McCollum, a few other opening acts, but let's be clear it was the King George show.

Let's be absolutely clear on that. I don't think

Parker-McColl-Collin exactly hurt the lineup. There were probably plenty of people

who went, but 110,905 people in Aggie Stadium.

And all I can think is,

couldn't you just jam 95 more people in there and round it off at 111?

And then I figure, you know, probably at about 103, 214 people they said couldn't we cram enough people

in here to get to 110? I don't know what the previous record is. I read it

over the weekend and I think it was the Grateful Dead in the late 70s somewhere in Ohio and that was something like 107,000. This

just shy of 111,000 so several thousand more people.

The bigger takeaway, in my opinion,

is I put it up on Facebook, a picture of the stadium from an aerial view and all the people.

And I said, I'm sure some of you were there. roll call, tell us you were there, tell us who you were with, and

how it was, give a review.

Not one person had a negative comment.

Nobody said, well, we got stuck at the

admission and there was a funnel and there was a rush on the gates.

Can you imagine if there had been a rush on the gates?

Can you imagine if some fools had tried to crash the gates?

That is the one crowd of people where you wouldn't even need the security guards to regulate that.

It would be take a bunch of dudes in boots and cowboy hats and very, very crisp starched shirts and jeans would take them out and that'd be it.
