The medium of talk radio was built for days like today.

I love our format, our medium, and I frequently say that because with music stations, you're not creating new music. You're playing the music that's already out there with talk radio.

You are creating the content every single day. Makes it hard to replace. It's easier to replace music. Harder to replace talk radio, particularly when it has a local element because you can't just flip a switch and play an eagle song.

Days like today are where the medium itself, regardless who the host is, is put on full display of its awesomeness.

It's going to be a call heavy day as we talk about the debate last night. When I refer to the debate, assume I'm including the President Trump on Tucker Carlson interview.

It was a big night last night. Before I open the phone lines, a couple of things.

If you love Trump, you will always love Trump and anybody who's not named Trump, you will hate. And if you foresee, Rhonda Santis is the only candidate who's gotten really above 10% and so I'm just going to trash.

Santis, not helpful to the conversation.

But if you hate Trump and always have, and you feel the need to prop your candidate up by criticizing Trump, likewise.

We already know where we stand. You know where you stand on that issue. The only thing that's interesting, if the race continues exactly as it is right now, Trump sales to victory.

His name is close. I mean, it's an absolute washout.

He's leading by over 50 and in some polls, sorry, he's leading by over 40 and in some polls, 50 point. That's his lead. That's not what he has. That's what he leads with.

It's fascinating. We're going to get to your calls.

And what I want you to tell me in 30 seconds or less, because we're going to time you.

And unlike last night, where they can never handle the candidates, the idea was, well, we'll have a buzzer and we'll make them stick to the rules.

A buzzer will ring. We'll let them finish that sentence. That's the mistake. Well, how much time do they have now?

You've let the border wide open and you're letting people stream in.

You have instituted criminal justice reform and the victim is the winner and it never ends. That's why they can't control it.

And somewhere in the middle, we got to get control of the debate.
