| 0:00.0 | Hey guys, welcome back to According to I'm Megan. |
| 0:07.3 | And I'm Sierra for this week's episode. |
| 0:09.2 | We are going to be doing another Am I the A-Hull Reddit Review. |
| 0:13.1 | So the last one we did of this was all the way back in April. |
| 0:16.2 | So it's been quite a few months. |
| 0:18.0 | So do you want to explain what it is in case someone's new? |
| 0:20.5 | So if you haven't been |
| 0:21.6 | listening to our podcast for a while, me and Sierra like to go explore some popular subreddits. So we do |
| 0:26.2 | episodes where we go to the unpopular opinions Reddit and we'll look at people's unpopular opinions |
| 0:31.7 | and see if we agree with them or not. And another one that we like to explore a lot is am I the |
| 0:36.2 | a hole. So people will explain a specific scenario or situation that they're experiencing, and they ask people kind of like to make a judgment call on whether they were in the right or in the wrong. |
| 0:47.9 | And so me and Sierra will be kind of playing that role, and you guys can also think about what you would think in the scenario too. And when we post on our Instagram, you can go write your thoughts if you would like in the comments. So I love doing these because sometimes you'll read the title of what they're saying and you like, like, how this gut reaction of like, well, of course you're right or of course you're wrong. And then you read the scenario and you're like, actually, it's a little bit harder than I would think. So we have quite a few. I have like more than seven, but we'll kind of see how much we get through. I have six or seven pulled up. And honestly, I think you guys that this could potentially be like the best ones I've pulled up on any of these episodes because like, wow, people have some long, like like detailed yeah situation I did try and |
| 1:30.0 | read through most of these beforehand because sometimes we'd pull these up and then like I'd only |
| 1:35.0 | looked at the headline and I was like hold on I'm like reading this as I'm trying to make a |
| 1:38.6 | judgment call so should have some better background this time but before we get into the |
| 1:42.6 | bulk of this episode it's time for our weekly spotlight. |
| 1:45.2 | So, Megan, you're going to go first? Sure. My weekly spotlight is that our class got canceled on Friday, and so we only have one class on Friday. We would have a thought for grad school that would happen. We only have one class on Friday, and it's only two hours. And I don't know why it was canceled, but it was. So it was just kind of like early start to our weekend. |
| 1:42.3 | It was a beautiful day. |
| 1:42.9 | We still had to go to campus because, wow, we are getting hit hard. and I don't know why it was canceled, but it was. So it was just kind of like early start to our weekend. |
| 2:01.1 | It was beautiful day. We still had to go to campus because, wow, we are getting hit hard next week, you guys. It's actually, so we have two exams next week, and then the week after that, we have, like, three exams, but one of them is like a practical, so it's, like, not as intense as, like, an actual exam and then like we have at least one exam I think it honestly is just so usually like one exam and not more than that but all the way up until Thanksgiving break or like the week before yeah so I need to shift my mindset because normally I have the mindset where it's like I have like this end of the tunnel and I'm like okay now I can take a break I need to shift that because I have an exam every week so I can't just be like Thanksgiving break is like my end of the tunnel and I'm like, okay, now I can take a break. I need to shift that because I have an exam every week, so I can't just be like Thanksgiving break is like my end of the tunnel. So, yeah, just taking it week by week. It kind of helps with like the pandemic right now. Like I don't feel like I'm missing out on a lot. Yeah, that's true. I'm like, I don't have anything better to do than to studies. So like, not that I like to have to spend my whole day studying, but I just feel like I don't feel like horrible about it. So yeah, I haven't been like the worst thing ever. Although I's definitely, I'm definitely still like working on like, like clearly I don't have to be getting like 100% on all my exams anymore. So that's something that I have to work on too because I've been so used to an undergrad being like, I have to get a night, I have to get an A, I have to get a night. And obviously I want to do well, but like I literally do not have to do anything more than |
| 2:53.4 | past together. too because I've been so used to an undergrad being like, I have to get an night, I have to get a day, I have to get a night. And obviously I want to do well, but like I literally do not have to do anything more than past to get like the same result as everyone else, which is ultimately my degree. So just shifting my mindset to be like, do enough to like get where you want to be, but then like don't overexert yourself, I guess, because you have other things you need to focus on as well, besides school. |
| 3:25.3 | So it's still work in progress, but we're figuring it out. My weekly spotlight is that I had my first clinical on Friday, and I think it went really well. So this semester, we each have three clinicals that we have to go to on Fridays, and it's just a half day, so about four hours. and I was a little bit nervous because, like, I didn't know what to expect, but I think that |
