We are going to dive in to her amazing modern-day life and talk about her book. This might be too personal and other intimate stories, which came out April 5th. You guys have to get it. So let's just get it popping. We have Alissa Shalaski.

Alright, you guys. I am about ready to have a heyday with Alissa Shalaski, the real-life carry broadshaw. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I mean, I'm going to take it. Let's go with it. But I don't know if it's like I don't think they did not base the show on me.

Like, my client took over the column seven years ago, Sex Diaries, for New York Magazine, where I profile a different New Yorker's love and sex life every single week of the year. But the show came before the column.

Okay, so other people, but I mean, I'm Marie. I've read your bio and all of us outsiders. I know that the show came before, but we're all pegging you as the real-life carry broadshaw.

I mean, I love it. It's been a life, even like when I was a, I don't know, 20s. In my 20s in New York, 22, I moved to New York when I was 18.

I was always doing this and I was always talking about love and sex and writing about love and sex and keeping it real. And then the show came out and everybody was just like, how did they know about you?

How did you inspire this character? And it's like, I didn't. I really can't take credit for it. It was based on Candice Bushnell, another, you know, another New York writer. But I've just lived this parallel life with that, with that character for so long that at this point, it seems to be sort of like conflated.

So I mean, there are worse things. I love it. And I love it for you.

I know the few times I've met her interviewed her, I always want to be like, you know, like I'm you, when you're me and you're carrying, I'm carrying.

And then I just don't say anything, because it's just too weird and such a lovely, she's such a classy person that you just don't want to be like remotely, you know, too gross or like aggressive in any way.

I'm not intimidated by many people, but if I were to run into her, that would be, I would be immediately intimidated.

You wouldn't though. I think it's like when somebody meets you, like there is something disarming about you and something. I mean, I'm just meaning it for the first time, but I certainly followed you. I surreal to be talking to you.

She's very warm and, and yeah, she's beautiful and, you know, teeny and chic as hell, but she's so warm and so cool. And she's like the type of person who wants to know about you.

And rather than make it about her, I don't know. I think that you would not, you would be thrilled, but I think in a second, you guys are probably, I mean, I'm talking about her, like she's my best friend.

You're like literally twice, but I think you share a spirit. Oh my god, Lala, I love you. So there's so much I've wanted to say to you throughout the years.

Oh, I love that.

I really am a big fan of the Bravo fan and I've been loyal to you since like your first appearance on Vanderpomble, before it was cool to like be obsessed with you.

You know what I mean? You you were when it was an unpopular opinion, you were still down for Lala. I love that.

I knew it. I knew it. I knew you're magical and I knew you'd have your moment. It didn't take long for the rest of the world to catch on. But no, I love you. I hated seeing you.

You look so good at the reunion, but I hated seeing you in pain and I'm so proud of your sobriety and fuck anybody who came for you at that. I'm very fierce. I have two young kids and I'm a mama bear.

And totally, we don't have to talk about it. But like anybody who thought that like you deserve what happened to you because of the circumstances. I so fucking heartless.
