Wow, it feels like months.

And I'm a little blinded by the outfit, but you look fantastic. I might need them. I might need them.

Let's talk about how you were feeling because the last time we were here, we were talking about that we thought, it felt likely that Kamala Harris was going to do well that night. It quickly became apparent that that was not the case. What are your thoughts? What were your memories from election? You're on the air for CNN, I guess. Tell me about it. Well, boy, did I misread this one. And I could unpack, I think, what I misread,

what others did for a long time. But feelings, I'm a little bit unemotional about these things,

having worked in politics. And I think the way that results come in, you have an idea.

We had an idea of where it was heading fairly early in the night. And for me, I think

basically up until you and I talked about this, up until about two weeks before election day,

I always thought Trump was going to win. And when Biden was still in, I was not just

thought Trump was going to win. I was beyond confident that Trump was going to win. So I'd already

completely made peace and started

to think about what a second term would look like, who some of the folks around him would be.

But in the final stretch, my gut was telling me that Kamala Harris had more momentum than she turned out to.

I think some of the key takeaways, but there's a million of them, is running races and elections has changed. So Kamala Harris

knocked on all these doors. She had this insane ground game, something like, you know, hundreds of

thousands of doors knocked. I think in the digital age where you have totally democratized

media, you've got rumble, you've got the podcast world, You've got, you know, linear in ABC and CNN.
