Happy New Year, Happy 2019!

Thank you so much for tuning in to my podcast.

It really means everything to me.

I've been touring around with the idea of doing a podcast for over a year.

People have been asking me to do one for a really long time and I was like, no, I just

don't know, I don't think it's the right thing for me.

I just didn't think that I could sit behind a microphone and mues about different things.

I was like, are people actually going to listen to me?

And yet, here you are.

So thank you very, very much for being here.

For the people who don't know me or don't know me very well, I am an author, a journalist,

an editor, a blogger.

I write mostly about dating and relationships and also pop culture.

Both of my books, a Bell and Brooklyn and Don't Waste or Pretty, are about dating and relationships.

As a writer, I've written for countless magazines and also newspapers, The Washington Post, The

New York Times.

I was an editor at Essence for several years.

I was a contributing editor at the root for several years.

I was a columnist at both of those.
