He is Paul Tenorio and the U.S. men's national team is going to the World Cup.

Officially, they lost two zero down here in Costa Rica tonight.

Paul and I were at the match in San Jose at Estadio Nacional.

But it didn't matter because they didn't lose 6-0.

So they qualified for Qatar.

They finished third in the octagonal,

and they will have a direct birth to the tournament in November

correcting the unthinkable failure of 2017 in Kuva, Trinidad,

and not qualifying for the last World Cup in 2018 in Russia.

Paul, that's, I mean, that's the one and only story tonight, man.

It was an incredible atmosphere, it was an incredible game for Costa Rica.

But the U.S. clinched, and they are back after four crappy years of dread and

existential malaise.

They're back.

Yeah.

I mean, it was also like a weird night in that from the start to the finish.

Because like on the U.S. side, all you needed to do was to avoid a six-goal loss.

On the Costa Rica side, you're resting eight guys who are on yellow cards.
