We are brought to you this week by Pogs, that weird game of bottle caps and cardboard cutouts that I didn't really understand how to play when I was a four-year-old, but, you know, I liked collecting them all the same. Paul, were you a Pog, You strike me as a pog guy. Yeah, I was in fourth

grade for pog life. And for sure, I had some good slammers, no doubt about that.

The big pogger. It was a game that lasted a very short amount of time in my universe, but I

certainly played it. Um, Pokemon cards were more of my age.

I think I was in third grade for the height of those.

They had to ban trading them at recess because there was a kid who really ripped off

another kid for a Venusaur, and it was a whole thing.

Anyway, we digress.

We've gotten into a nasty little habit here of recording shows the day before major MLS news breaks.

It's two weeks in a row.

First, it was the Sacramento News with Ron Burkle and not moving forward with his expansion bid.

And then last week, we had something that I don't think we've ever really seen before in MLS, another thing.

And that was the league announcing that they are investigating inner Miami for their signing

of midfielder Blaise Matwiti.

The league is specifically investigating whether the signing of Matweedy, who was signed last

summer before Miami had 3DPs, complied with Major League Soccer's salary budget and roster guidelines.

MLS is not making any further comment until the completion of that investigation.

Inter-Miamy manager Phil Neville spoke to the media earlier this week.

He said that he expected the investigation to be wrapped pretty quickly.

It sounded like five to seven days.

Paul is pretty significant.

Basically, what it boils down to, Matwee was signed to a TAM contract.
