MLS is back, baby.

MLS is back, and it's almost over.

I think we're 45 games down, six games to go.

It's been a journey. It's been a marathon,

an ultra marathon, perhaps. But we're starting to get to the end. We have our first semi-finalist,

the Philadelphia Union, put a hurt on sporting Kansas City tonight, played what I thought was their best game of the tournament, beat KC 3 to 1 on the back

of three first half goals. Three really good first half goals, I might add. Brendan Aronson got

MLS and American Soccer Twitter jumping with a nice little turn and pass on that third goal

for the assist, but a really good performance by the union. One of my predicted finalists, by the way,

and they're on into the semifinals,

where they will face the winner of the NYCFC Portland match,

which is going to be on Saturday night,

also on Saturday night, San Jose against Minnesota,

and then tomorrow night we have Orlando,

the tournament hosts, so to speak, taking on the best team in MLS, L-AFC.

So it should be an interesting few days before we get to the semis of that next week and the final on August 11th.

And speaking of the final, Paul, I mentioned Philly, LAFC is my other team.
