athletic. We're recording here on a Thursday evening. We've got some good news to get into. I say good

news. I don't mean positive necessarily, but interesting news to get into. And then a full mailbag

to dive into this show, Paul. But before we get there, how are you doing tonight?

I'm doing all right, man.

It's a weird night for me.

Ben Olson and DC United, as you alluded to, the news in MLS today, parting ways.

And, you know, a lot of people know I started my career at the Washington Post.

So DC United was the first MLS team that I covered. I grew up in the D.C. area. So I watched

DC United for some of those early years as a kid. So I got to know Ben Olson really well in my time in

DC. I have a hard time thinking about D.C. United without Ben Olson in a front and center role. I know he's staying in the organization in some capacity to be determined or for us, still TBD, for us to find out at least what it is. But yeah, it's a weird day, man, because Ben has been such a huge

part of that club. I saw the stat that they posted that he's either played or coached in 71.1%

of DC United's all-time games. Pretty crazy number there. So yeah, man, it's just weird for him,

weird for him to no longer be the head coach of DC United.

It is certainly very bizarre.

He had been the head coach since 2010, full-time head coach since 2011, but DC we're going through it this year.

They are last in the league with 11 points through 16 games.

Final straw was a 4-1 loss at New York City on Wednesday night.

They had a 4-0 loss to Atlanta prior to that.

That being said, they made the playoffs five of the last six seasons.
