The So, A couple of times today I've thought I could do with a hug but apart from now it's

been it's been all right I mean I got a lot of love for Sir Alex as we'll talk

about throughout the course of the show but you know also all things must pass this is the

fundamental nature of existence well yes of course we we spoke about Alex not long ago it's

funny so for a very long time I was insisting that summer 2013 was when he was

about to retire and then I was clearly totally wrong about that,

except not, but you know, it would appear that I had been totally wrong.

And then, and not a week ago,

or maybe it was two weeks ago,

we talked about, say Alex and I said, does this look like a man who's about to retire?

Absolutely not. It's the last thing from his mind of course he was he was blowing smoke in a

ice once again. I mean how many times has he done it in his program notes for a match against Chelsea

he said this isn't title number 20 it's the start of another 10 years of success and I intend to be a ram for it

I mean paraphrasing but something along those lines.

Yeah I mean it's a funny one because you know you read that in the aftermath of this and it's kind of clear that he's

moving upstairs and that's what he's on about but you know we've sort of had a pop at

Furgi a lot over the years for

effectively lying to the fans by lying to the press because that's how he

communicates with the fans and he sort of lost sight of that and just sees it as

lying to the press but this was just

lying directly to our faces you know well not to our faces but just the medium of

print is clearly not a medium in which he feels compelled to be honest because
