Well, it appears we're very close to having the final word on the Royals and Chiefs

committing to the state of Kansas to relocate and build brand new facilities

in Overland Park in Kansas City, Kansas for their next home for the next 50 to 75 years.

There was breaking news on Thursday that the Chiefs will be at the meeting of the Legislative Council on Monday.

We've been talking about this meeting that's taking place in Topeka at 1 o'clock on Monday.

It's the last session of the year for the Legislating Coordinating Council. Ty Masterson, who's the president

of the Senate and running for governor of Kansas, made an announcement on Thursday that didn't say

as much about the Chiefs as it's reported the chiefs will be in attendance at this meeting

to finalize their plans, accept the star bonds, and move forward toward a final proposal

that would have to be approved by June 30th of 2026.

Masterson also went out of his way to say the Royals are fully committed.

That was he said, what he said, quote, the Royals are fully committed and they have checked all boxes and qualified for the

Starbonds by the December 31st deadline. Now, if this is confusing, you, let me try to make this

very simple, what's happened. The legislative committee in the state of Kansas have said we will

give you 70% of what you want for a new project for a new stadium in Kansas to relocate your team, 70% of whatever it costs

as long as it's a billion dollars or more. That is the best proposal any baseball team or

football team has ever received from a state in the United States.

It was to expire on December 31st, the offer.

The Royals and chiefs had to accept the offer by then.

It doesn't mean it had to be nailed down with the contract.
