Okay, this episode's going to be a whole lot of fun right here at the start because I get to share with you something that I didn't think I'd ever

get to share with anyone. And it goes back many years. So we're going to let the cat out of the bag.

It may not be the single most important story in the world going on today, but we're going to

start with sports in the Kansas City Chiefs because a person that I know very well and interviewed

literally one-on-one sit-down interviews

hundreds of times through the years has said something that allows me to share some

context about how all this works and things that I say and beliefs that I've had and the opinions

that I've shared over the years that, by the way, weren't very popular with a lot of folks.

And it has to do

with former Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. Sitting down and doing a podcast interview with Kay Adams.

If you don't remember Kay Adams, she was the morning host on Good Morning Football on NFL Network,

and now she does whatever a podcast. And she's very successful and players go on with her and

people go on and do

interviews. And Alex Smith was her subject. And I'm going to play a clip in a couple of minutes,

but I'm going to play you a clip that's about him hating the Denver Broncos because I think

this is fun. This is going to tell you a lot about Alex Smith that I've known for years that likely

you didn't know.

And things about the Chiefs that you maybe have heard me say, but a lot of people didn't believe,
