So Alex Cohen, co-owner of the New York Mets with her husband, Steve Cohen, put out a statement

yesterday about how she is leaving Instagram and she wants to focus more on her family and they've

got some big things coming up this year and the Mets are always a priority, but she wants to

put her phone down and make sure she's more in the moment.

Well, I don't think that that is a coincidence with the offseason that the Mets have had

that she has decided to, in the midst of that off season, quit social media.

And maybe she doesn't want to put out there.

I mean, you really don't need to put out a statement that you're quitting social media,

but she did. And to me, maybe you don't want to say that the negative comments are the things that drove you off of social media. Maybe you just want to say things along the lines of, yeah, you know, I just need to be more in the moment and more present and all of these things. And I want to be distracted by social media. But there's no doubt in my mind that because people are the worst, especially in sports

that are on Instagram and X and all that stuff, that she probably got a bunch of crap,

just like Steve Cohen gets a bunch of crap on X.

People go, what are you doing?

You're sold us a bill of goods.

All you care about is a casino. How do you let Pete Alonzo go? You're a bunch of frauds. All these things that people say. And she had had enough. So I give her credit because I always say when people, they bitch and moan about the social media stuff, you got two choices. One of those is not to remain on social media and bitch and complain about how much of a cesspool it is.

That's one thing you can't do.

You either get off of it or you realize what it is and accept it because you can't change it.

So complaining about it is just stupid because it's never going to change.

It's just not.

There's just horrible people saying horrible things that just that's what the world is on social media. So I do give her credit for for leaving the platform if she doesn't want to be there any longer, but there's no way this was just about a being in the moment thing with Alex Cohen. This had to be with all the little slubs ripping her for a bad Mets offseason. And I wouldn't blame her, but if you remember back at Boomer and Gio, when we did it at the Paramount, we had Jose Anglesias with us singing OMG. Yes.
