Born in Madrid to an Argentine mother and Spanish father, Garnacho was always likely to be influenced by both footballing cultures. I go back to his early days at Getafe and Atlético Madrid, and follow his move to Manchester United’s youth academy. A standout goal in the FA Youth Cup caught attention, and not long after, he made his senior debut at just 17 years old. I also talk through some of Garnacho’s big moments, including a memorable bicycle kick against Everton, and the role he’s played under manager Erik ten Hag. 1:01.2	Now, in the start of this episode, in the intro, you heard me say the Argentinian slash Spanish
1:08.0	Manchester United player Garnacho.
1:10.6	The reason I said that is because, well, two things really.
1:15.0	Firstly, Garnacho was actually born in Madrid in Spain on the 1st of July in 2004.
1:22.9	And he was born to an Argentine mother and a Spanish father.
1:28.3	Garnacho has always been inspired by the Argentinian style of football and football as a whole, especially as his father was a footballer as well.
1:38.3	He didn't make it anywhere near the level that Garnacho has already, but it said that he was a decent footballer with
1:44.9	a great passion for the game.
1:47.4	Garnacho was close to his father when he was growing up.
1:50.4	They had a connection with the beautiful game, but he was also extremely close with his mother,
1:55.4	who he feels has done so much for him and helping him get to where he has in his career.
2:03.2	Garnacho could have played for Spain, but he was always inspired by the Argentinian style of playing football. He loved the
2:09.1	flair that the likes of Diego Maradonna had and the way that Messi could change angles at incredible
2:14.6	speed. However, a player who wasn't from Argentina, who he absolutely
2:20.0	loved from the moment he set eyes on, was of course Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he eventually
