You've seen Jim on a lot of our episodes. Most people recognize Jim by his jolly smile. His belly laugh, his big,

she bearded and often his custom made hawk and rifle. But today we have Jim. He came all the way to Montana to see some friends and then to do this podcast and Marcus, chief number one,

Ace, videographer and field producer are going to tell the story about when Marcus went up with Jim in August. Jim drew one of the very rare Alaska Bison tags.

And that season started in late August. Marcus flew up to film it all and captured all.

And if you know Marcus, he's been through a lot, seen a lot, filmed a lot of great stuff. And when he got home, he instantly told me that this might be the most remarkable landscape I ever have had the chance to film.

And I'm like, whoa, Marcus and I have been on some really, really cool places. So this must be worth it.

And the story of the adventure and the logistics were so cool. I asked Jim, I said, you know, you might be on a podcast on this. And he said, yeah, I'll come down in December and let's do it.

Well, little did I know I was going to end up with some sort of virus. I've been tested for everything. I don't have COVID. I don't have influenza. They say I've got some other viral infection, whatever that means.

What it means is I sound as bad as I feel. But you know what? At least it happened right when we got off the road instead of doing the middle of season. So I'm grateful for that.
