It was an eventful couple of days in terms of airports and planes. So if you don't mind, I'll tell you

the front end of the story. And I met Alan as I was getting ready to return to Dallas. But on the front leg of the trip, it was a Sunday, a great Sunday. I was here in Lindale. I preached throughout the morning, had a good study with our young adults. I headed over to the Penn's house for our group meeting for lunch. It was just great. Got to spend a couple of quality hours with my

grandson Travis, and then I headed to Lovefield to take a southwest flight to Columbus, Ohio that was

supposed to leave around 830. Well, there's weather in Dallas just practically every day this time

of year, and by this time of year, I mean, it doesn't matter when you're listening. Probably true

today through Dallas. We get a lot of storms through here. So when I got there, they said they'll

be delayed an hour or two, but around 10.30, just before this nasty line of storms hit us,

we got the plane loaded, wheeled out, over on the runway, and pointing the nose straight downfield,

and then the stewardess says, we're having trouble with our cabin lights.

Now, none of us care about cabin lights. Just turn them off and get us out of here,

but apparently people care about that kind of stuff. So we went back to the terminal

so they could switch us
