23, Essays in Love, sold two million copies worldwide. He's the founder of the School of Life,

an organization dedicated to his new vision of education, for which he writes essays, leads

conferences, produces YouTube videos, and writes books. He has his own production company, Seneca

Productions, which makes television documentaries about his work. Originally from Zurich, Elam moved with his family to London. He studied history at Cambridge University and earned a master's in philosophy at King's College, London. He also started a PhD program in French philosophy at Harvard.
