Hey, welcome into another edition of Bama and Bourbon with Aaron Suttles from A Alabama. I'm Lance Taylor from the next round. When we talk bourbon, we talk Alabama. It all comes full circle here. We did this a few months ago, but this is y'all's bourbon. Yeah, when you walk in and you say, hey, we're drinking the A. Alabama Burbin. It caught me completely by surprise, but I'm well-hurst on it. I can tell you about it. Yeah, so this, again, it just goes hand in hand because when you purchase a bottle of this bourbon, which is available in ABC stores and packet stores across our fair state here in Alabama, some of the proceeds go to Yay Alabama. Yeah. Yeah.

So that was the whole appeal in doing it. And, you know, in terms of value, probably not the best value for your buck because you know your money's going to go to, I wouldn't say it's charity, but you know where your money's going. So you're going to pay a little extra premium on it. So. But if you're an Alabama fan of a Burma fan, this is perfect. and you're already drinking bourbon, you're going to want this in your collection.

The one thing I'm really proud of is I like the way the bottle looks. I like the way the labels are and I like the font that they used. It was very intentional. We worked closely with bespoken spirits who put this out for us out of lexington kentucky we had to get this

this was a long process man we had to we had to work on it i had to choose the bourbon

and then we had to get it through the board of trustees to give their approval it was a it was a

lengthy process yeah well look i mean it looks great uh so we'll do the standard this week next week we'll

step it up that's right a little more premium a little smaller batch in the 1831 but last week we had it was the 80 proof on a

basal hayden right mm-hmm yeah we're stepping this one ninety four proof on the

standard 94 proof and you're gonna notice a nice dark amber color to this do love the

color room and it's just a good salad bourbon.

When I say I picked it, like, obviously I didn't pick it from scratch, but they gave me a list

of bourbons, a lower-proof bourbon.

They gave me like six to eight to choose from.

And then for like higher-proof bourbon, they gave me six to eight.

And these were the, I gave my recommendation with the committee and they all sort of

well, did you do the tasting

notes? Again, being a writer. So, okay, so tell me, an unapologetically proud spirit inspired by

Yeah, I'm back drinking again. Yeah, I'm back drinking again. Two weeks with us.

I haven't gotten wild. I will tell you, this past weekend. So came back. My first drink was last

Thursday right here in this room on Bammon Bourbon. And then after that I had two bourbons on Friday night, and that's the only bourbon I drank all weekend. Easing back in on the bourbon front, a little more red wine than I probably have needed, but I've been pretty good. Yeah, we had a golf tournament on Saturday. I heard all about it. We got after a little bit. My group gets after a little bit. The Inverness Country Club, man.
