Big night last night for Logan Thompson stopped 25 of 26 shots on goal and was just incredible in the third period when Montreal had a repeat performance from their third period the other night, minus the actual goal scoring.

Caps, three to one winners over Montreal to take a two to nothing series lead.

That's one way of putting it, Kevin. I mean, as you said, he was truly outstanding, but

they did do enough to get the lead. I thought their response after Montreal jumped on

him with the first goal was excellent. They got it within, I think it was literally two minutes

with a lead, and then they added right to it. I agree with you, though, the repeat of the third

period, I'm not trying to take any credit away from Montreal because they showed you the talent they've

got, they showed you the energy they've got, they showed you the drive and determination they got,

but I think much like in that third period of game one, the caps kind of fueled some of that

with some of the giveaways. I think if the cops were just a little smarter with the puck,

if they were a little more, say, stubborn

to just dump it in and go, you know, go bang bodies again, I think they'd be better served by that.

I think they've allowed, you know, Montreal to start to believe in themselves with these third periods,

and that would be my only concern.
