Chat GPT. A big headline everywhere. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, replacing humans

perhaps, replacing us in the workplace, replacing us in thinking question mark. Once upon a time

a man had a better idea about how to make automobiles more than a hundred years ago. They

had been built handmade in in barns across the Midwest into the East Coast through the United

States trucks, different propulsion systems, some with some with gasoline, some with steam.

And then a man named Ford had a better idea. I welcome John Tamney of Real Clear Politics,

the author most recently of the money confusion, writing a national review online about why

chat GPT and its ilk are here to help us. John, who was that man Ford and what idea did he have?

Good evening to you. Oh, his idea was was very basic in today's terms. But back then it was

somewhat revolutionary that work divided among a growing number of people as the path toward a

more enormous productivity when we can specialize on the job were much more productive. And so many

hundreds and thousands of hands producing minute aspects of automobiles enabled the mass production

of them on the way to something that was once obscure becoming a common market good. And so I'm

speculating that with chat GPT that what's ahead is going to make Ford's innovation seem kind of

small by comparison. Imagine what we can do if we can automate thought. If the genius humans in our

in our midst can have machines thinking alongside them all day, every day, 365 days a year,

the ability to advance the ability to cure what used to kill us is about to go into overdrive.

And it's really exciting to think where we're headed with Ezra Constance.

A colleague of mine typed in chat GPT who was John Bachelor, the author. And it came back with

an elaborate presentation. Much of the detail was from Wikipedia you could read it for yourself.

And yet it decided the chat GPT that it was going to go farther and apprise my novels once about
