Hey, everyone, welcome to Decoding TV, a podcast about television.

I am David Chen here with Patrick Lepic, and this is the first of, I'm guessing maybe

two, maybe three, maybe a thousand, many episodes about Asoka, the Disney Plus original series

that's about, that takes place in the Star Wars universe.

So here's what we're doing here today.

We got a lot of positive feedback about our conversation about Asoka, and at the same

time, we also have a bunch of other stuff we're trying to cover, and that stuff takes

time.

But Patrick's going to be watching Asoka anyway.

So we're like, hey, can we figure out a way to like check in on Asoka as the season goes

on without doing the full blown episode?

Because let me tell you folks, I know it may not seem it, but the episodes we put a lot

of work and time into these episodes, we write a lot of recap stuff, we write out the

recaps, we write out topics that we want to discuss, we try to plan these episodes out so

they have a lot of work into them, a lot of work put into them, but we're trying to do

a thing where, hey, what if we put a little bit less work, the episode's a little bit shorter,

but people can still know what we feel and we can still react to some of the bigger moments.

So we'll see if we are successful in accomplishing any of that, maybe this episode will take

like three hours, and we'll help out of the field, not necessarily my strong suit, but

we're going to leave it us, David, I believe in us.
