Engineered Hardwood and I want to like see if your feelings have changed on this one.

I know we've probably talked about this over the years on the podcast.

I personally have a sand and finish floor meaning we went and bought the wood planks or the hardwood floor guy did.

White Oak installed them all, water popped the grain, stained it, like you know the whole

all the different layers of lacquer, the very long tedious process of doing a

sand and finished floor. Granted this was like nine years ago or so now everything's

engineered you get a perfectly finished baked product in a factory where you

don't have to do it on site with all the chemicals everything else and I will say

my floors are quite yellow for being white oak because of the time the sun like

wherever rugs aren't do I mean like they just dark and like if you pull up your rug you'll see where the sun has hit and the sun has not.

Totally and I think with engineered floors I think you get more of a color fastness because of whatever

they're able to do in the factory. So I know before on the

podcast I've said I would do engineered if I were to do it again but I do have a great

sense of pride that they are sand and finish because everybody does engineer these days and the

engineer floors that have been in fashion for a while looks so dry to my eye

they just look um almost like you could get a sliver from them you know what I mean?

They're quite grayed out.

The blondes are really, really not yellow at all.

They're quite white and gray.

And finish doesn't look as like built up or thick on it.

Yeah, yeah.
