Hi, Jeremy, thanks a lot for coming on the podcast.

Hi, Simon. It's great to be here. Thanks for having me.

We're going to talk about your book. It's called Joan and Roger are live in the afterlife.

But before we get on to the content of the book, earlier in your life, did you have an interest in the idea of life after death?

Not really. I was brought up a Catholic by my father, as my two older brothers were. The three of us were taken to church every Sunday, and we were Catholics.

And then each of us, when we got to our mid-teens, we stopped going to church, and I'm not sure about my brothers. But I stopped believing in all the details of the Catholic teaching,

although I still believed in God, a God of some sort,

but I found afterlife and everything to do with it,

just too incredible to believe it was true.

So at school I did sciences, and I did fairly well at the time.

And I suppose I had what you might say is a fairly traditional Western scientific belief system, I suppose. So it seems to me that most scientists

on this side of the world seem to think that if you can't measure it and have it in a

laboratory, then it can't be real. So in all my thoughts, I was often questioning myself, you know, is afterlife real and what happens when we die?

It was a question that was near the forefront of my mind a lot of the time.

But I came to the conclusion that I don't think this can be real.
