This is CBS I in the world. I'm John Batch with my colleague Bill Raggio, the foundation

for the defensive democracy listening to Ambassador Hakane speak of the extensive disorder

in Pakistan. The immediate question is what does it mean for Afghanistan, the Taliban,

for the people of Afghanistan? Bill is, are these two countries still in-middle involved

in smuggling and bad acting and is a disordered Pakistan in any way significant to Kabul?

Yes, John. The instability in Pakistan has significant implications for the region. Not

just Afghanistan. I would expect terror activity in Afghanistan to continue, but under the

cover as the Pakistani military, look, it holds itself up as the defender of Pakistan,

particularly against India. So what I'm going to expect the Pakistani military to do would be

to get its foroxys, last-carry, Tiba, Harkat, Bulgur, Zadin, all of these groups that are operating

in Afghanistan that have safe aid in charter training camps and whatnot that are still operating

inside of Afghanistan, the State Department designation from years ago,

detailed particularly the Harkat al-Muja deans operations in Afghanistan and training camps

operating there. I would expect the operations in India to, particularly in Jammu and Taj

here, to increase as possible as Pakistan points to deflect from its internal and skilled

disabilities. It may seek to get the attention of the Pakistani people outward and create a threat.

Against the Indian, of course, Afghanistan plays a role in that. I would expect the Pakistani

the Pakistani military's relations with the Taliban to remain strong. Again,

Afghanistan is the strategic death threats with term used in Pakistan, again, India.

And then, you know, the question can be, Pakistan or the Taliban itself though, I don't expect

military operations against China emanating from inside Afghanistan to increase because the

Taliban wants to develop relations with countries like China, particularly China, where it can
