Summary

In today's meditation, you'll be guided to identify the vital few areas that contribute most significantly to your goals and affirm your commitment to prioritizing these areas. By aligning your actions with the Pareto Principle, you'll cultivate a sense of focus, efficiency, and accomplishment.

THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION SERIES

Welcome to a meditation series inspired by the Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 Rule. This principle states that roughly 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. By focusing on the vital few, you can maximize your time, energy, and resources.

This meditation series will guide you through techniques to:

  • Identify your most impactful activities: Discover the 20% of tasks that yield the most significant results.
  • Prioritize effectively: Learn to focus your energy on the vital few, eliminating distractions and low-value activities.
  • Maximize productivity: Increase your efficiency and effectiveness by concentrating on the most impactful tasks.
  • Cultivate a sense of accomplishment: Experience the satisfaction of achieving significant results with minimal effort.

By embracing the Pareto Principle, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your priorities and unlock your true potential.

Welcome back to day two.

0:10.0

How are you doing?

0:12.0

I'm excited to share with you a special quote from the book we're following along with this week, which is written by the 15th Japanese tea master. So Shih Tzu Sen, it's called

0:31.2

T-Life, T- Mind.

0:34.0

And this is a book that means a lot to me because I learned to

0:41.0

slow down and experience stillness with the Japanese tea ceremony.

0:46.7

It was a way to calm my own mind and body at a time in my life when I was full speed ahead trying to accomplish and do so many different things.

1:00.0

And then when I discovered the Japanese tea ceremony and Ikebana, which is Japanese flower arranging,

1:10.0

I really opened up to a sense of inner stillness in order to be able to share the tea ceremony

1:19.0

or in order to be able to create an arrangement, that was very simple using just a few materials, but it

1:28.3

needed to reveal a lot. And so in order to get to a place where I was able to reveal some truth about the tea ceremony or the flowers I was using for an arrangement,

1:47.0

I had to become very focused and clear, and that requires stillness.

1:55.0

So, as you're guided in today's meditation,

2:00.0

you are going to be introduced to the affirmation for the whole week.

2:06.0

I encourage you to repeat the affirmation in the morning when you wake up

2:11.0

and in the evening when you go to bed at night. If you could repeat it as you sit down to meditate,

2:18.5

that is perfect. Any time throughout the day that you repeat an affirmation is going to reinforce this

2:26.5

affirmation more deeply into your consciousness. So the affirmation is in stillness I touch my inner truth. In stillness I touch my

2:39.0

inner truth. In stillness I touch my inner truth. It really wasn't until I started to sit and

2:52.3

actually sip tea. and actually Sip T. That I began to appreciate stillness. In fact that's why I call my business SIP and Ohm because it represents T. That's the SIP part because that's what allowed me to first notice my inner stillness and then meditation

3:16.8

ohm once I started meditating I really felt connected to my inner stillness, but that didn't happen for quite a while.
