something that you may or may not know. I only record this show in person. As someone who has

himself been on a gazillion podcast, I can tell you the quality of conversation and the kinds of

conversations that arise from talking into a device,

whether it's a phone or a computer mic or whatever, is so different than sitting in the room and really connecting in person with another human being.

It's one of the reasons why I think this show is substantially, substantively as well, different

from a lot of other podcasts that are out there.

And I don't even do it in some big, expensive, cold austere studio.

I just do it in my home.

It's just me with two microphones and a lot of research that I've done and a person sitting across me that's

willing to engage in big ideas.

So I want to say that that quality is something that I really want to keep doing.

And as you may or may not know, also I moved to Ireland earlier this year. Now the show is expanding to have

a much more international audience. And living in Ireland, access to an international roster of

guests is becoming more and more available to me. And I want to just bump up how much I make for this show a little bit so I have a small

travel budget that might sound really ambitious but actually traveling around Europe is really

cheap once you're here is cheaper than traveling between states in the U.S.
