Well, friends, I'm very excited to share this episode with author Sarah Gran with you, but I want to just talk about what's going on in my life a little bit

and tell you why I'm going to have a bunch of writers on for the next few episodes. There might be

some philosophers interspersed in there, but I'm very excited to be talking to fiction authors particularly.

But before I do that, let me just say that if you like this conversation with Sarah,

that one I figured I should say on this episode because it's with Sarah and if

because um look lots of people have released novels um and I have always wanted to write and

publish a novel since I was like you know seven years old um now that it's coming out and my identity is shifting because I'm going to go from somebody

who's wanted to do this thing his entire life to somebody who has done it.

I'm anxious and excited, but also just like, what the hell do I do? I'm not sure. And so I'm seeking the company

of fiction writers. I'm seeking these kinds of conversations because I feel sort of lonely and

freaked out. I'm not sure what's next or how to handle myself with all of this. And I just want to say, like, that's a little bit of a familiar spot for me, being lonely

and freaked out and not knowing what to do next.
