Powerhouse Hobbs LEAVES AEW, and joins WWE, as his AEW contract comes to an end at the end of tonight's AEW Dynamite. On this AEW Dynamite Review for January 14th, 2026, we discuss what this means for Powerhouse Hobbs, and why this is a great move for WWE, and an even better move for the career of Powerhouse Hobbs.

MJF defends the AEW World Championship, his "Triple B" against Bandido, after Bandid won the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal against Ricochet. Also, Kenny Omega returns. For what? Does he target MJF and the World Championship? Does he get revenge on Don Callis, and Andrade? Do they even remember that they debuted Andrade against Kenny Omega? Mercedes Mone is taking a "break" from AEW but she says when she returns, she is taking more than just "titles". In a 4-Way Tag Match for a Future AEW World Tag Team Title Shot vs. FTR, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) take on GOA (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona), JetSpeed (”Speedball” Mike Bailey and “The Jet” Kevin Knight), and The Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis & Jake Doyle. And Darby Allin goes one on one with PAC of The Death Riders.
