Summary

Solomonster reviews the "Holiday Bash" episode of AEW Dynamite for December 20th with three more Gold League matches in the Continental Classic and someone finally knocks Jon Moxley off his perch, leading to a three-way tie atop the standings heading into the semi-finals next week. MJF and Samoa Joe have also agreed to defend the ROH tag team titles next week against The Devil's henchmen, but the more interesting story is only first playing out between MJF and Swerve Strickland. With any luck, that will be our Revolution main event.

It has been confirmed that we are going to be getting a

triple threat match next week but the three matches we had tonight swerve

Strickland had to rebound from last week's loss to John Moxley.

We also had a match between Mark Brisco and Jay Lethal,

1:10.3

the two men who have gone winless so far in this tournament.

1:14.0

One of them now finally has a win.

1:17.4

And in the main event, we had John Moxley one-on-one against

Switchplay, Jay White, for the first time since the 2019 G1 climax.

1:24.7

They went one on one and Jay White pinned John Moxley.

1:29.2

Moxley finally loses.

1:30.9

That was the outcome that surprised me the most out of all of them on the show tonight.

1:36.0

And yet that was the tournament match I liked the least.
