| 0:00.0 | This was the Winter is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite. We get it every year. And winter was a pretty solid show overall with the main event of Samoa Joe defending the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston. I like Eddie Kingston. Eddie Kingston has not been back for very long. It's only been a few months. But this was the biggest match since Kingston came back from the injury layoff. |
| 0:26.1 | And he challenged Samoa Joe for the title. I didn't come into this show with any expectation. |
| 0:30.3 | He was actually going to walk out with the championship, which he did not do. But what we got |
| 0:35.6 | between them, maybe the most surprising part about the match |
| 0:38.4 | isn't even so much anything they did in the match. The match pretty much was exactly what I thought |
| 0:42.6 | it would be. But Samoa Joe retains the AW World Championship fair and square, and he gets |
| 0:48.9 | Eddie Kingston to tap out. We may have gotten a preview of Saturday night's main event |
| 0:54.0 | tonight with John |
| 0:55.2 | Sina and Gunther. Hook got ejected from the match very early on. We didn't see the ops for the rest |
| 1:00.9 | of the match. There was no cheating. There was no, you know, nefarious tactics. And now it's on to |
| 1:07.4 | World's End, where it looks like we are heading for yet another match |
| 1:11.5 | between Joe and Hangman for the AW World Championship, which it seemed that way coming into |
| 1:16.6 | the show. |
| 1:17.6 | And that was the most surprising part to me. |
| 1:20.0 | I was, I would say, pleasantly surprised that we didn't get the usual round of interference. |
| 1:24.9 | It was kind of refreshing. |
| 1:26.6 | But it also made for kind of a flat ending to the |
| 1:28.8 | show. Taps out Eddie, who everybody loves, or at least in the crowd today, everybody loved, |
| 1:34.6 | and then the show just ended. So a little bit of a flat ending there. But the show, I think, |
| 1:39.4 | opened and ended in the same way, where we had a solid opener and we had a solid closer. |
| 1:45.4 | The opening match was for the AW Women's World Tag Team titles. |
| 1:49.2 | We've had this tournament going on now for many, many weeks. |
