We are on a hot street now. My how the advent season is flying by.

So yesterday we talked about pick your favorites and one of the things that pretty

much always comes up for us my kids really do want to decorate cookies at some

point that is a that is a thing that we love and that matters.

Well I always liked sugar cookies as a child. I like the taste of a sugar cookie and but they misbehave they do they are one of those

hard to get a good one it's like a basic cookie recipe, but that it can do all man. So you cut out a cute thing and then it poofs beyond recognition or it

or it turns thin and crispy.

On the edges is weird or it whatever.

And so many moons ago now, but I finally found what I believe

is sort of the ultimate sugar cookie

recipe. I just love this one. I'm really curious because I also found one

years ago and I haven't made it lately but it really was like finally because the worst is when they all run

together into one big pancake. Oh yeah you have a big patty whack of former

former Christmas shapes. Or yeah they blow up like a muffin and then lose all

newants. And then I also at the same time, so this was many years ago now, but at the same

time I discovered that that there is such a thing as Royal Iceing.

And I was like, guys, wow!

You don't have to spread it on with a buttern knife?

Yeah.

That we didn't just make a little swizzle of powdered sugar and royal icing
