Summary

Today on my podcast, I am reintroducing you to my friend, Malcolm Guite, a scholar in Cambridge, a Poet and very winsome and informative teacher. 1:04.7	time today. We are actually sitting in Cambridge and in the college where Malcolm has taught
1:11.7	in where we met him. But I met him many years ago when we were at a CS Lewis conference.
1:17.7	I believe it might have been an Oxford. I'm sorry, it was an Oxford for a week in the
1:22.9	Cambridge. It's right now. We were walking to the place where he was going to speak and
1:29.4	he drove up on this big motorcycle and a black leather jacket. I remember thinking, oh my goodness,
1:36.4	who is this man? Then he mesmerized us. It was just wonderful to hear his reading and
1:43.9	him speaking. We've been friends through the years and my kids just think he's the most
1:48.4	amazing person in the world. I especially want to introduce you today to what he does.
1:55.4	He's a wonderful poet, but very articulate and so many different ideas. You know that
2:02.1	our whole family cares deeply about the whole area of imagination and what part that takes
2:09.4	place in our lives. So how would you communicate why imagination is important?
2:14.7	Well, I would say that we have God's given us all kinds of capacities with which to come
