Summary

Today we meditate on the seven deadly sins in our examination of conscience. Thank you for dedicating twenty minutes of your day to praying the Rosary with Our Lord and Our Lady.

Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Sandy had a house full of friends for good conversation and we were going to pray the

Rosary together but we were waiting for Teresa the Great. She has delayed and delayed and delayed coming back from the

studio and everyone left except for Pam Brown. She is the faithful one who stuck it out way till the end

and Teresa's still not back.

So now we're going to pray the Rosary without Teresa the Great. But I have my Habibi and we have

Pam Brown with us. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the

Holy Spirit. Let's call to mind all those people we've promised to pray for.

We are all addicts.

Addicts to the sins we have turned into habits that are buried so deep in our subconscious,

we do them without even thinking.

There are seven roots of our addiction, and they're known as the seven deadly sins.

Pride, envy, anger, achedia, greed, gluttony, and lust.

Pride in the form of self-reliance, the disordered desire for perfection,

or being a control freak, refusing to listen to anyone other than oneself, but pride is also found in

timidity, anxiety, and fear. Envy is a sadness that someone else is good and

a pleasure at their misfortune.

It leads us to gossip, backbiting, tearing others down in the attempt to raise ourselves

up and it's why we love hearing and spreading dirty laundry.

Anger and impatience, that's probably self-explanatory.
