So, you know, earlier we were talking a little bit about the Wizards versus Pacers game.

Yeah.

All right.

So the Wizards called up two guys from the G League, and they still won because the Pacers had

people you've never heard of.

And the NBA is trying to address this tanking.

We've spent probably more time talking about the NBA the last couple weeks.

Well, that's what happens when the NFL finishes.

But mostly because the tanking has become such a big issue that they're having to address it.

A few days ago, Mark Cuban seemed to say, hey, I advocated like an auction system years ago,

which we talked about, like like just abolishing the draft

and, and just having basically free agency. And if somebody wants to pay Cooper Flag

50 million coming out of college, more power to you. Pay them 50 million dollars. Or want

to pay Darren Peterson $60 million? Right. To not play. Give him $60 million. But it does seem

like the NBA has legitimately looked into it.

I don't know if this has been approved, but according to the story, the NBA plans to

enact anti-tanking rules starting next season.

Yeah.

And what it's going to do is... I don't understand. Can Silver just enforce this with this competition committee or does he have to get votes from the owners? Well, I want to hear... The story doesn't tell you really. What it's going to do is first-round draft picks... These are all possibilities. Can be protected. You know how they have these protected picks. The wizards have this protected pick.

So they traded a pick, but if it falls in the top eight, then they retain the pick.

Yeah.

They're going to limit that, that protected picks can only be top four or top 14 plus selections.
