Nobody watches more college football than Stanford Steve,

and nobody talks to more college coaches and NFL general managers than Stanford, Steve.

So we'll get his thoughts at 12 noon.

So last year, if you recall, seven of the nine players they selected were team captains.

They clearly had an idea of creating a culture and really changing a culture.

And it was important for them to find, you know, their kind of guys, you know.

The guys that Adam Peters and Dan Quinn talked about when they first got hired. They said they had this shared vision.

You know, they had an aligned vision on player traits, you know, the things that they wanted

in players. They wanted competitors. They wanted high motor players. They wanted smart players.

And clearly they wanted guys that would create a really good locker room. Because, let's face it,

for 20-something years, the locker room wasn't super stable. So he was asked on whether or not that

will continue to be a major factor in drafting players.

You know, team captains, guys with super high character, here's what he said.

I think you're still always looking for those types of guys, no matter what now.

The draft isn't always going to fall that way, but I don't think we're ever going to

waver from the types of people we want to bring in this building.

And whether they were captains in college or not, I mean, whether they are leaders or not,

quote-unquote, leaders, people lead different ways. But we're just going to try to bring in good people.

And so if they were captains in college, that's great. That shows you something. But if they weren't captains, that doesn't mean they're not leaders,
