Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is the distraction pieces podcast episode 639. And look who I'm joined by. I'm joined by podcast royalty. Adam Buxton. I love Adam. We've known each other for years. The last couple of podcast interactions or kind of interactions have been over Zoom, so we were delighted

to be able to get in a room together and have a good old conversation.

And we both dragged ourselves into London from Essex and Norfolk, respectively, so that we

could be eye-to-eye face-to-face, beard for this wonderful conversation.

And we get into a lot of things, but I wanted to talk to Adam about his album, buckle up,

because it's a weird one.

And I get into it, but I had James Acosta on the podcast when he had an album out,

because it's an odd situation as a comedian to be putting out

an album. And Adams is more rooted in humour than James's was, but still, it's a weird situation,

weird thing to talk about. So I like, as this isn't strictly a comedy podcast, I like to

offer up the platform as a place to kind of, you know, really get into it. And we get into it.

We don't only talk about that. We talk about podcasts and podcasting and mental health and being

old and grey and balding, all the fun stuff, essentially. But yeah, I really love this conversation.

We talk a little bit about how these songs will exist in a

live situation and how exciting it is for Adam to be doing live gigs as the frontman of the
