happy Friday, it's Jen. This is Fat Maskara, a podcast about beauty culture and sometimes wellness culture like today I'm Jen Sullivan did I say that already I think I did

Anyway today I'm talking to goodran roe Snyder a doctor of East Asian acupuncture.

It's spring here in New York City,

and I started already getting questions

from all of you and listeners,

and people who read my beauty column at the cut

about spring allergies. So I was thinking about how to cover the

topic in a new way when I remembered hearing that acupuncture was actually a

really great treatment for

allergies and of course there are other ways to use acupuncture for cosmetic benefits so I wanted to talk about that and

Gudran is the perfect person to do that with. She completed her East Asian

medical training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Before that, she studied management at Stanford.

She did some EMT training at UCLA, and she has a degree in economics and neuropsychology

from Vanderbilt University.

She's the founder of Moon Rabbit Acupunction which has two locations in Chicago and on top of that

she's a mom she's a board member for the nonprofit Twist Out Cancer, a board member for the nonprofit, Twist Out Cancer, and a board officer for Chicago's West Central Association Chamber of Commerce.

So we're going to talk about allergies a little bit, but all the other things that acupuncture can do.
