putting Miami now at about $5 million under the cap.

So with those two moves, they now go in to the week salary cap compliant.

There were some conflicting reports.

Some people had them at about $770,000 under already.

Then there was another report out

there where they re-crunched the numbers and they were about 1.3 over. I think that one was probably

right. So right now, the Miami Dolphins are $5 million under the salary cap. First, they release

Jason Sanders, the kicker. That move opened up $3.9 million in salary cap space.

Sanders missed all of last season in 2025 with a hip injury that he suffered in late August.

But here's the thing with Sanders that is kind of amazing.

You know, his time in Miami was very good.

But even though he didn't play last year, if you go back and look at his, when he did play,

he made his final 27 field goals as a member of the Miami Dolphins, 27 to 27. And that,

and that includes making his last nine field goals of 50 plus yards. So even though he missed last

season, he ended his time on a high note. If you go back to 20 2024 when he did last play for the Dolphins,

Sanders between 2018 and 2024 was one of the most reliable kickers in all of the NFL.
