The chief of police for Columbus, Ohio's police department says they now have the murder weapon.

It's unclear whether it's actually in their custody or still in Winnebago County, Illinois.

But that is a huge development in the investigation into Monique and Spencer Tepi's double murder at the hands, police say, of Dr. Michael McKee.

We're also finding out that Michael McKee is still sitting in a jail cell in Illinois awaiting extradition.

Police now say at a press conference today, which we will break down, that they have recovered

the gun used to kill Spencer and Monique.

But the man accused of executing them, Dr. Michael David McKee, is still sitting in a jail in

Winnebago County, Illinois, awaiting extradition, even though he waived his right. So what's happening there?
